Earlier this year, Onkyo introduced the TX-SR507 and TX-SR607 audio/video receivers with a “Universal Port” that provided single-cable connection for iPods and iPhones. Coming in May, will be the first in a line of accessories to take advantage of Onkyo’s U-Port. The company will then begin shipping the UP-A1 dock. Combined with either of Onkyo’s Universal Port-enabled AVRs, the UP-A1 will recharge players (and phones), as well as allow users to control the device using the Onkyo’s remote control.
The UP-A1 dock will be the first Onkyo product to carry the “Works with iPhone” certification and will be able to carry component video and audio with a range of Apple products. These include:
• iPod Touch
• iPod Classic
• iPod nano
• iPod mini
• iPhone
• iPhone 3G
The Onkyo UP-A1 will carry an MSRP of $109. To learn more about it and other planned accessories, go to http://www.us.onkyo.com/model.cfm?m=TX-SR607&class=Receiver&p=i.

I'd much rather have a Pioneer. They include the iPod/iPhone cable for complete A/V control with their new line of receivers. The best part is, the iPod/iPhone audio remains in the digital domain over the USB on the Pioneer receivers, so there's no unnecessary D/A, A/D conversion which would degrade the signal.
It's a misunderstanding that using USB with Pioneer "remains in the digital domain........so there's no unnecessary D/A, A/D conversion...." Only the Wadia iTransport bypasses the Ipod's DAC and sends an unaltered digital signal output. With Pioneer/USB, you still use the Ipod's DAC and send analog out to the Pioneer.
