Long-term readers of AVguide and The Absolute Sound will know that we have followed the development of NuForce Class D amplifiers through two successive generations, called V1 and V2 (reviews of earlier NuForce amps and other products can be found on this site).
Now, NuForce has announced that third-generation versions of its amplifier will begin shipping this month. As has become a NuForce tradition, it will be possible for owners of earlier generation NuForce amplifiers to have their units upgraded to V3 status.
We present the text of NuForce’s press release on the V3 models, below.
__________
Nuforce takes great pleasure in announcing our third-generation (V3) analog switching amplifier. Since the advent of our revolutionary –– and patented –– amplifier technology in 2005, Nuforce has won two Power Amp of the Year awards from Japan and the USA. In keeping with our policy, customers are able to upgrade from earlier (V1, V2) generations. At no great cost, they continue to benefit from NuForce R&D.
The V3 board differs from its V2 predecessor in several ways. Improvements in feedback and overall control produce a more linear signal across an astonishingly wide bandwidth (to 130 KHz). Harmonic distortion and noise have been significantly reduced. The music lover will experience V3’s advantages in terms of a clearer midrange, smoother highs, greater low-end weight, and an overall sweeter presentation within a better-defined soundstage –– pleasures that translate to extended listening without a hint of ear-fatigue.
Starting October, 2009, our amplifier-based products will include the V3 circuit board. Current customers can contact Nuforce or our dealers to request an upgrade. For pricing, consult our dealers. We invite customers located in regions without dealers to contact NuForce Sales directly. Visit www.nuforce.com for information, product specifications and sales contacts.
