According to a press release, NAD is introducing the T 587 Blu-ray disc player, a “true high definition source” that supports Blu-ray’s technological features such as BD Live and BD Java.
The press release continues by saying that the player supports 1080p at 24 frames per second and upscales standard definition signals with the player’s upscaling engine. It also supports Deep Color and xvYCC Extended Color Space to provide a broad color gamut. Additionally, the T 587 supports the latest Dolby and DTS audio formats. Besides Blu-ray formatted discs, the T 587 plays DVD and audio CD formatted discs. The release adds that the rear panel of the player sports an Ethernet jack, composite and component video interfaces, an HDMI 1.3 port, stereo analog audio outputs, and both coaxial and optical digital audio outputs. The front panel, in turn, features an IR input and USB port.
The T 587 will be available in December for $1,500.
