Montegiro Legno Turntable Available to U.S. Market

According to a press release, Koetsu USA, the U.S. distribution arm of the Japanese phono cartridge manufacturer is introducing the Montegiro Legno turntable to the U.S. market. Montegiro is a German manufacturer specializing in high-end turntables.

The release continues by saying that the Legno model features a bamboo plinth used for its resonance damping properties. It has four adjustable high-grade steel feet decoupled with embedded rubber O-rings. The Legno features a synchronous motor driven by a high-end outboard controller.

The release says that customers can choose between a 10.5-inch integral tonearm specially modified for Montegiro or tonearms by Da Vinci, SME, or Jelco. The Legno comes equipped with a Koetsu cartridge.

The release adds that the suggested price is $13,240 but that “final pricing” varies depending on the tonearm.
