According to a company press release, Mitsubishi is introducing its new flagship 1080p projector the HC7000 ($4,000), featuring the ultra-high speed Diamond Black automatic iris, which prevents light refraction and leakage and provides a 72,000:1 contrast ratio.
The release adds that the projector incorporates the Reon-VX video processing chip, which contains 1080i-to-1080p HD deinterlacing and even helps standard definition signals approach HD quality. The projector also features two anamorphic lens modes to view material in either 16:9 or 2.35:1 aspect ratios. Additionally, the projector features two HDMI v.1.3 inputs.
