McIntosh Unveils New A/V Controller

According to a company press release, renowned Binghamton, NY hi-fi manufacturer McIntosh Laboratories is introducing its newest A/V controller, the MX150.

The release continues by saying that the MX150 “carries on in the McIntosh tradition of sonic excellence with exceedingly low noise and distortion performance.” It is a 2-zone controller and supports the latest audio codecs. The controller has McIntosh’s RoomPerfect auto-equalization technology and software management via USB, Ethernet, and Compact Flash. For purists, the MX150 has pure analog and two-channel bypass modes and an MM phono preamp. Balanced and unbalanced connections are provided.

The release goes on to say that the MX150 has a robust up-converting video processor, five Component, two S-Video, two Composite video, and five HDMI 1.3 inputs for maximum flexibility. User preferences are assignable for each connected source. Additionally, the MX150 has an RS232 input.
