iriver Unveils “Internet Multimedia Communication Device”

According to a press release, digital device manufacturer iriver is introducing the WAVE-HOME, an “Internet multimedia communication device” for the home or office. With a plethora of features integrated into one sleek device, the WAVE-HOME is really the first of its kind.  

The release continues by saying that the WAVE-HOME consists of a base station with a 7” LCD touchscreen and a portable handset/remote. The base station connects to the Internet to offer Web surfing, to provide widgets, and to support Internet phone services and video chatting. Additionally, the WAVE-HOME features built-in speakers, enabling users to listen to music (MP3, Internet radio, or FM radio) and watch videos. The base station also can act as a digital photo frame and a camera. The wireless handset can be used for making phone calls and can also function as a remote controller.
