Enhance iPhone Speaker Sound with SoundClip

A press release announces that Ten One Design, a design firm “specializing in solutions for the mobile lifestyle,” is introducing the SoundClip, an inexpensive clip-on “sound chamber” for the iPhone 3G that enhances the iPhone speaker’s sound quality.

The release says that the SoundClip ($8) is a tuned conical deflection chamber that amplifies sound by 10dB between 6kH and 20kHz, flattening out the frequency response curve and providing “brighter sound and additional clarity.” The SoundClip clips into the iPhone’s dock connector for a secure fit and directs sound from the speaker towards the user.

Ten One Design’s Web site notes that the SoundClip is only compatible with the iPhone 3G.
