Eighty Years’ Expertise Lead to Tannoy Definitions

Tannoy has set out yet again to define excellence in sound with its new Definition range of audiophile speakers. Tapping into 80 years of loudspeaker-design expertise, the company has focused once more on its 8-inch and 10-inch Dual Concentric drivers as the heart of its speaker design (reinforced by auxiliary bass drivers in the floorstander models).

The cabinetry has also gotten special attention in the new Definitons, with ported cabinets built from birch plywood. Drivers are coupled to the cabinets with a bracing mechanism that incorporates Tannoy’s DMT (Differential Material Technology) to ensure rigidity.

Finishes are available in deep-lustre black or lacquered real wood veneer (cherry or dark walnut).
