DreamVision Unveils Dream’E Projector

According to a press release, French video manufacturer DreamVision is introducing the Dream’E, its newest HD projector that includes an optional sophisticated, easy-to-use anamorphic lens system.

The release says that the Dream’E features a three-chip LCoS system and an HQV processor to provide 1080p resolution. The HQV processor incorporates the latest video quality enhancements including digital noise reduction, mosquito noise reduction, and detail enhancement, among others. Perhaps the most impressive feature of the Dream’E, however, is the optional Wide System Kit, which provides 2.35:1 Theater Mode and allows users to switch between Cinemascope and HDTV aspect ratios with the push of a button. Aspect ratio switching happens in software, so no motorized lens “sled” is required.

The release adds that the projector also features horizontal and vertical lens shifting that solves installation difficulties by increasing placement flexibility. The sleek enclosure is designed by Antoine Beon, who has also done design work for Focal, the French speaker maker.

Pricing: $5,295, or $9595 with Wide System Kit
