As some of our reporters have observed, CES attendance appears to be up significantly from last year (which seemed better than in 2009). The Consumer Electronics Association has confirmed that observation. Attendance at CES this year was 140,000, up 11% over 2010 when attendance was 125,000. Of course, CES is an international show, so this isn't a perfect indicator of the U.S. market, though attendees have reported significant optimism from U.S. manufacturers and dealers.

I certainly saw a BIG uptick in the number of press folk at the press conferences on press day.
