CES Gives Sunfire Mark of Excellence Award

The Consumer Electronics Association recently bestowed its 2009 Mark of Excellence Award upon Sunfire for “outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics.” The award recognizes Sunfire’s ability to draw big sound from small enclosures in surround sound environments, examples being the HRS SAT-4s ($450 each) and the HRS-SAT4C Center ($550). This line also includes the HRS-8 subwoofer ($850). Prices that don’t break the bank but still achieve excellence.

The HRS SATs draw upon design expertise with Sunfire subs, highlighted by its 4.5-inch High Back-efm woofer, which utilizes a Trifilar voice coil design that incorporates three dual voice coils rolled into one. The woofer’s cones are made of light-weight, yet strong Kevlar, resulting in a tight bass and quick transient response.
