AstoundStereo Expander Astounds Apple Downloaders

As you might imagine, Apple’s online download site gets to be a pretty busy place—sort of the digi-equivalent of Grand Central Station during rush hour. So if you can claim your audio product is among the top 10 third-party audio downloads on the site, as GenAudio, Inc., developers of AstoundStereo Expander can, then it’s safe to say folks like your product.

AstoundStereo Expander launched in January 2009, so it hit the top 10 at a mach-speed pace. The product is derived from GenAudio’s proprietary technology called AstoundSound 4D, which gives listeners the impression of being immersed in a 360-degree spherical soundscape that GenAudio designers created to imitate “real life.” Aimed at Mac users (of course), the software allows Mac-o-philes to pump up their audio volume through headphones, or even laptop speakers, for a home-theater-like experience.

If you’re a Mac user and you’ve got $40 bucks to spare, you’re in luck. Just go to Apple’s online download site at http://www.apple.com/downloads. You can also get the software directly from GenAudio (and learn more about the company’s other audio products) at http://www.astoundstereo.com.

And as a bonus, AstoundStereo Expander is also now available for PCs.
