AOC Unveils Displays for Gamers

A company press release from AOC describes the company’s Gamer Certified series of 22-inch displays and introduces a forthcoming addition to the series, a WLED display specifically designed for gamers.

The press release continues by saying that the Gamer Certified Series “allows gamers to view HD games the way designers intended…[and] offers high contrast ratios and industry leading 2ms response times with DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) control, HDMI inputs and gaming modes.”

The release adds that the 2230Fh and 2230Fm HD3 both feature 20,000:1 contrast ratios and 2ms response times. The 2230Fm HD3 additionally features a 4-in-1 memory card reader and a USB 2.0 card so that users can view pictures and video without a PC. Both models are available now.

The most significant news, however, is the forthcoming release of the V22 display, the company’s first WLED display, which offers a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and an ultra-thin design. The set is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2009; the price is currently unavailable.

Robert Velez, marketing manager of AOC, says in the release that “AOC’s Gamer Certified series of displays are all designed to offer the fastest response times for eliminating ghostly images and high contrast ratios truly show the detail of today’s HD games. With our experience as one of the world’s largest display manufacturers, AOC is able to take proven technologies and offer them for an affordable price.”
